I’m advocating for young changemakers in climate-vulnerable and structurally excluded communities across the Global South—especially in countries like Bangladesh, Colombia, and Nigeria—who are rarely given the resources or trust to lead. Through the SDSN’s Global MDP Association’s Inaugural Global Challenge, we provide them with tools, mentorship, and funding to design and implement their own local development and climate solutions. I advocate for their right not only to participate, but to lead. Because these youth aren’t the problem—they’re the answer. The Challenge is about shifting power, building capacity, and proving that equity-driven development must start from the ground up.
